About

Welcome to the International Law and Policy Brief (ILPB), a publication sponsored by The George Washington University Law School’s (GW Law) International Law Society. This hybrid policy/law brief that was started as a way for law students at The George Washington University Law School (GW Law) to explore current and policy-oriented topics in international and comparative law, U.S. foreign policy, and national security, and share their posts with students, staff, faculty, practitioners, and the community. The brief is open to current GW Law students who have an interest in these areas, as well as guest contributors. The International Law and Policy Brief is part of the International Law Society (ILS) at GW Law.

The ILPB aims to produce articles, editorials, and analysis at the intersection of law and policy in a manner accessible to lawmakers, policy analysts at think-tanks, and the educated public. As such, we have opted to use a general blogging style reminiscent of an online magazine, based on The Chicago Manual of Style.
